Engine oil recommendation needed

I recently switched to a 15w40 multigrade oil with zinc additive to help keep my oil pressure up after warmup....this morning it was in the low 40s when I started up my E3 and I guess the oil was so thick that it really raised the initial pressure and began squirting out from under the oil filter cap which was pretty tight...shut her down immediately and re-tightened the cap.....upon restart I noticed my oil pressure went right up to 60 psi.....after warm up it dropped to 30 psi at idle....

Not sure if this is too heavy an oil, and too much pressure all around? I understand that the Buda engine requires fairly low oil pressure to be happy.....would straight 30w be better? etc....many thanks

Jeff

Thanks....sounds like my multi-grade will work well....Incidentally I turned down the oil pressure at the pump adjuster and it now happily purrs along at 15 lbs. throughout the power range....
