Hi Mike...I finally got the parts and have yet to do the job....had to move the tractor indoors the other day so as to do the work...sure runs good (minus the leak) hope I don't screw it up....will keep yah posted....Jeff

I was just going through the parts for my E4 engine today.  This is what happens when if the governor housing isn't lined up properly.

Hey Mike, wow it looks like some heat was generated there...yeah I will be pulling my front plate and seal soon I think....I tried some seal rejuvenator but it really didn't help much...Also, I have meant to mention...I saw a front engine plate for sale on ebay and it looked like the seal had been installed from the outside...I figured it was done to save time or out of general laziness...don't know, but it sure would save trouble if all I had to do was remove the pulley and install a new seal from the outside....oh well
