Correct fluid for a Cockshutt 30 PTO?

Exactly as the title asks. I need to fill the PTO assembly with oil. What type does it take?

I'm more up on the 500 series but I believe they are the same in this respect and both use the same gear oil as the transmission and rear-end. All three are filled through the PTO fill plug and level is checked by the plugs on the Transmission case

If you're talking live PTO, the same oil you put in the main case.  Separate fill and drain plugs on the PTO housing.
