I have a Cockshutt 560 tractor with a Perkins 4-270 diesel that has not been used for a few years. It does not turn over by starter or crank. When pulled on wet ground to try to turn over engine, the tires skid when in gear and clutch out or even when clutch is depressed??? Clutch has no real feel when depressed and looks like it may be stuck as well. Transmission shifts ok in all gears. Tractor is in too good shape otherwise to not try to get it running. Thinking next about dumping some diesel or other solvent down injectors to loosen pistons/rings. Not sure what to do about clutch. Looking for help. Thanks in advance.
