Hi guys,

I just found your site today. I have an old 30 Cockshutt that I am going to restore, and I thought that I might find info here.

My old tractor, when it's cold, carries about 25 lbs. of oil pressure. Once it gets warmed up though, it falls off to about 10 at full throttle. Is this normal?  It has good oil flow to the upper end.

Thanks! Steve

Any engine, once warmed up will carry less oil pressure. If you are using the correct oil and have good flow you should be fine. You have to remember this eng has prolly seen alot of use. Now I don't know the oil pressure specs from the factory though. Jason

I have a '48 E3 that I've had for 12-14 years that has oil pressure similar to yours. I use it around the farm and sometimes take it to a tractor pull or parade and I have never had any problems. It can sit for months and fires right up when you hit the starter button. Probably the most dependable tractor I have!!
