Cockshutt 30 Forklift --RCAF


Does anyone have information about this tractor configuration?  How many were built?  Any info is appreciated.

I found an archived post for a Cockshutt 30 Forklift for sale that read:

"1955 Cockshutt 30 with forklift attachment as built for the Royal Canadian Air Force for armament handling. Runs Ok, transmission slips out of 2nd, new 16 inch tires on front and very good 13x26 on rear. Forklift complete and operational. 1 of possible 15 made. Here is a 30 Forklift at Milton in 2009. It is owned by Dick Beecroft of Cambridge Ontario. He has a nice collection of Cockshutts and would probably be a good lead to getting info on these forklifts.

I have a 1955 Cockshutt 30 Forklift.  Ex RCAF in Dawson Creek, B.C.

Tractor now located in southern B.C.

We may be interested in parting with it(too many projects, not enough time).

I have one of these in Holland, there is also another for sale in my area, and I have seen one advertised in Belgium without the lift part..... that would make three that are in Europe.
Manuals are on Ebay.
Lifting mast looks like it is from a Clark forklift.
I know they were used as ground handling equipment for the Voodoo aircraft as flown by RCAF. Mine was used at a base in Germany.
