Series 500??

                                                                            29 May 2011

Have drivetrain parts from what I believe is a Cockshutt 500 series tractor?

I'd call the part(s) I have, a  transaxle...Transmission,section with final drive gears, both axle housings and axles with hubs. Hoping to find someone with a use for some of the parts.

That would be the Transmission and rearend that would fit a Cockshutt 560, 570 and 570 Super. What would you like to get for them?

I hadn't given it a lot of thought...assumed they were just common old run of the mill tractors parts that no one wanted and would likley scrap em.
After moving the assemblely out of the shop I've been on a qwest to find out what it was from.
I won't scrap it now that I know i'st from a tractor of relative rarity. Would like to find someone that can use any of the individual parts. Not looking to make a killing selling the parts nor do I want to sell to someone that's just going to turn around and sell to someone else.

So I guess I really don't have a price in mind. Have to inspect it a bit closer so I know what I have.

It was in the shop when I bought the place a few years back. Took it out because I needed the space.
Now I've got to get in stored again. Don't know if the tranny is good...assume it is, but regretfully the final drive on both sides has a tooth out of it.
