Winterizing my Cockshutt 30

Hello All,

I am looking for the best way to winterize the 30.

I live in the Toronto area in Canada so the winters are cold.  The tractor

is stored indoors but I want to know what the procedure is for winterizing.

I would like to drain the rad and flush, clean tractor, fog the cylinders, drain gas

from tank completely, drain carbs, grease all fittings...  Is these anything else.

Do I have to flush the radidiator ??

Please let me know... Thanks

Tony

why are you draining the block and radiator? Do you not use anti-freeze? just asking I have heard of some people just using water in their tractors , if this is the case I would be tempted to put rv anti-freeze in the coolant passages to displace any water.

Thanks for the reply Jminer77,

I have a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and antifreeze (premixed at store) but thought it would be better to completley drain the cooling system for winter storage.

I guess this would be OK to leave as the antifreeze would be OK in the engine.

I do have to change the rad plugs so a drain is forthcoming.

Anything else that I need to do ??

I will store battery indoors.
