I am looking to change out the Tranny Fluid and would like to know the best type and grade to use for my Cockshutt 30.

I don't have a specific brand that I use, as long as it is GL5 I use what ever is the best deal.I don't know how much an E3 holds.

He's right about the SAE 90 GL-5, but besides the trans and rear end you need to put some in the housing ahead of the trans. It's the section that carries the belt pulley and creeper gears if you have them. I can't find my manual right now but if memory serves you'll find the fill/level plugs side by side on the left side of the case on either side of the joint between the intermediate and trans houlsings. Fill them up to the hole. SAE 90 also goes in the LPTO.

My apologies.  Wrong information on the pulley housing.  I was just going over mine today getting ready for haying.  The two small side by side plugs on the left side are drains.  The fill/level plugs are larger, one forward behind the clutch rod and one just ahead of the clutch pedal.
