I have a 550 with a gas engine, can it be converted to diesel? Does any one have the parts or an engine?

Pete's Tractor Salvage (North Dakota) had a 550 diesel when I was there a couple years ago. It was rough but it was a real 550 diesel and as I recall the engine was there. Just google them, they have a web site.  Good luck!

I contacted Pete's Tractor Salvage and they said they didn't have one. Has any one used a different diesel engine?

There is a Military version of the engine but it looks like everything is on opposite sides.
