What is the weight of the buda engine ?? anybody know or provide a guestimate ??

I'll take a stab at it. After checking the shipping weight of similar engine long blocks (300 to 310 lbs.) and adding the front cover, oil pain, flywheel, clutch and manifolds I'd say your looking at 450 lbs.

I recently acquired a Buda op and service manual.  Thanks to Chuck Rhoads of Ill.

4 cyl. 153 and 182 are listed at 590 lbs, fan to flywheel.

6 cyl. 230 and 273 are 790 lbs.
