There are 20 studs for the head. Sixteen are 5 3/8". Four are longer for the water return flanges but two are 5 7/8 and two are 6 3/8. I can't remember which holes longer ones go into. I'm rebuilding an engine that's been apart for a long time. The two 3/8 plugs are for the oil passage through the block but I can't find a place for the 1/4 plug. The washer was with the distributor parts but doesn't fit anywhere on it. 9/16 ID, 11/16 OD, .060 thick, shiny from wear. Can anybody help?

The Buda service manual, I&T manual and COOP parts book all mention a felt oil wick in the ball end of the rocker arms. I've had a couple of them apart and have never seen any trace of a wick. Does anybody know the real story?

Can I repair a crack in the side wall of my Buda gas engine? I am researching types of pinning technics. I am nervous about the strength after it's done and will I be able to place a load on the engine in the future. I want to use the tractor for farming and pulling.

I have an oil leak at the front behind the crankpulley, suspect the oil seal in the crankcase needs to be replaced. But, I can't get the pully bolt / jawnut off. Any suggestions here. Please be descriptive as I would like to take the pulley nut off as easy as possible. Great site!!
