1958 Cockshutt 550 stuck in gear

Anybody have any ideas on how too line up the 3 notches in the transmission. Tried with bars but does not seem to move? Stuck in forward gear Thanks

1850 transmission locked up

I have an 1850 that wont crank over unless the clutch is depressed. Anyone know of any common problems in transmissions to cause this ? Tractor will still tow regardless of clutch position.

Cockshutt 1850 pto question

I recently bought a 65 cockshutt 1850 with a Perkins diesel. I love the tractor. I noticed that when the tractor in not in gear and just idling the pto spins slowly. Does anyone know how to correct this or what may be causing it?

My Cockshutt 30 came with a leaking drive axle oil seal. The new seal is on order; what torque do I set the gland nut? It appear that the previous owner had it too loose. Thanks.

Cockshutt 60

I've recently purchased a 1948 Cockshutt 60 and I can figure out how to stop or disengage the belt pulley. There is a lever for this on my 1937 Cockshutt 70, but I can't seem to find anything like it on the "60". Any Ideas? You can see by the photo that I have removed the belt pulley for safety reas...

550 transmision noise

My Cockshutt 550 has a growling sound when its in reverse, makes no noise when moving foward, its been 26 years since it last moved, was rebuild this year but didnt touch the transmision.

500 Series Disc Brakes?

Does anyone know if there were any other Make tractors that used the same disc brakes as the 500 series? I'm looking to see if there is a lower cost option out there.
